Friend,

I don't really see what you're getting at with the first paragraph in your comment. What exactly are you implying by quoting the scripture that says that "we shall love our neighbor as ourselves?"

One way to love someone is to let them know that they are wrong or in danger of something right? God is not only loving, but He is holy. God does not tolerate sin period. Especially within His church because it causes others to blaspheme. How can we warn unbelievers to repent of their sins if leaders within a denomination are not genuinely repentant.

Are you implying that I'm preaching a message of hate? Then you are saying that God Himself is preaching a message of hate my friend. The message that I preach is the same that Jesus preached.

I am not saying in any way that I hate him or anyone else. But I am saying that I hate the sin. If you agree that God condemns homosexuality in His Word, then this Bishop is living in blatant rebellion against God's command to not practice homosexuality.

You are twisting these scriptures that you quoted to say that we need to just love people and let them do what they want. (so it seems) We love others by warning them to flee from the wrath to come...

Grace & Peace,

RE: Christ did not teach or preach tolerance.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment, and the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself. " Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus did not preach a message of hate and condemnation. He brought a message of acceptance, hope and love.

Jesus commanded that his followers' be a people of love. It is the mark of true discipleship. He said, "If you love me you will obey what I command." (John 14:15). Jesus never challenged anyone to obey what the disciples or opostles commanded. What did Jesus command? He said it in his own words, "My Command is this, Love each other as I have loved you." (John 15:12)

Letter from one 'Angry Woman

A rebuttal from one annoyed American

I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it.
Some powerful words. This woman should run for president.
Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it!
This is one ticked off lady.

I decided to send this to ALL recipients of this email anonymously because I don't feel it is important to know who I am, it's important that I inform

you AND (and then some) because, honestly, I am sorry to say that it got this far. It’s just horrible to think that a

church goer sent such a hate filled email and expected no one to notice. I don't know how many of you actually read this but I don't agree with it at all.

Please read on...

Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or
was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not
brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our
nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

We are fighting a war but I'll get to that point in a few...and no Ma’am, the Islamic people DID NOT bring anything to our shores. A group of Islamic RADICALS did and though they are Muslim, they are, in no way recognized by other members of the Muslim faith as being right. Just because the Taliban exists, doesn’t mean that they are all part of that group…We don’t blame YOU for acts of the Westboro Baptist Church.

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning
crushing death that day, or didn't they?

This is true. Blame the Taliban, not the entire Muslim faith. Don’t look down your noses at the Islamic people just because of a few bad apples.

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated'
when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? ...Well, I don't. I don't care
at all.

Well, you should. You may not agree with their beliefs, but the Bible teaches tolerance and you should respect them. It is not up to you to decide who is wrong or right.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in
and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

Honestly, I am just as angry as you are about this matter, but you need to re-think what you’re writing here…again…you are not the final decision on who is right. Don’t hate the person, hate the wrong doing...Isn’t that what the Bible says?

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle
East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which
is a crime in Saudi Arabia

That’s their law, not yours. AGAIN, respect their beliefs. They don’t point fingers at you because you feel that it is YOUR right to come into their country and FORCE your beliefs on to a culture that you know nothing about…you feel that you have the right to judge someone with out even researching anything beforehand…that shows ignorance.

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry
for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his
gurgling slashed throat.

This was a tragedy and, unfortunately, times of war are never a good thing, the credit for this one goes the Taliban, not the Islamic people. As far as the war in Iraq is concern, Blame our bastard, right wing, president for that one. Not only were there NO weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, he owns more stock in oil than you could even imagine. Let’s do some math, here. Lame president owns oil stock, Iraq has LOTS of oil, let’s start a war, turn Iraq into an AMERICAN democracy and MAYBE they will just give us more oil!

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq
come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own
religion by hiding in mosques.

See above comment

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search
of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide.

Again, see the comment abov Oh, and by the way, Nirvana is not Islamic, it’s Hindi…again, do your research.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that
their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international
law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

Unfortunately, the freedom of speech law applies to you so we can’t arrest you for sounding like an idiot.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine
roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I
don't care.

Right, so maybe one of those Iraqi’s will kidnap you and I won’t care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi
prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing
incident, rest assured: I don't care.

It’s good to know you agree with violations of the Geneva Convention.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when
he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can
take it to the bank: I don't care.

Wow, which church do you go to? Sounds like Westboro to me, only they say it about our soldiers. The fact is, you are preaching hate and that makes you no better than the Taliban.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a
prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is
complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can
absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

Shall we burn a Bible to get the point across?

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's
spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you
guessed it-I don't care!!

*sigh* Nice of you to notice...but did you know:

The Qur’an (Arabic: القرآن ‎ al-qur’ān, literally "the recitation"; also sometimes transliterated as Qur’ān, Koran, Alcoran or Al-Qur’ān)

…Muslims believe the Qur’an to be the book of divine guidance and direction for mankind, and consider the original Arabic text to be the final revelation of

God.

SO, It’s the SAME, just different translations.

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your
E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people
responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete
button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when
more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great
Country! And may I add:

'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a
difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem' -- Ronald Reagan

Although Regan was a brilliant man, it’s not just the marines who have died, it’s everyone in our Armed Forces and MANY of them are not even Christian.

I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......I
hope you forward all this.

'If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then
we will be a nation gone under' Also by.. Ronald Reagan

It doesn’t state whose “God”, it states GOD…it’s up to every individual to decide their path and it’s, most certainly, not up to YOU to decide for them.

The purpose of America was to create a place for religious freedom.

One last thought for the day:

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the
Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's
Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of
his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said: 'A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out.'

Again, America = freedom of religion…America is America because of its vast and diverse culture. If you take that away, we are a caucasion version of Iraq.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

You only have proof of ONE of those…

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

How is your soul free with out free will? Since God gave us free will, here’s your chance to use it and come to your own conclusions.

Be a free thinker. This world does not exist in one man’s little box. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, its up to YOU to choose.

Billy,

Thanks for the encouragement brother. We frequently need to hear/read these scriptures all over again to be reminded that it's not us doing the work, but Christ living in us! We need to learn to trust in Him and be fully dependent on Him alone.

Bless you bro,

Witnessing for Jesus

“That in everything ye are enriched by Him in all utterance, and in all knowledge,” {1Corinthians 1 v 5}.

Dear saints never feel inadequate in anything, for by faith we can say boldly that we come behind in no gift, for we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. If you feel that God wants you to preach, then you must believe that He has equipped you with all things necessary for the job.

Now maybe He wants you to share Christ with someone, then again you must believe that He will fill your mind with the right words of grace, I have found over the years that if I begin to witness for Christ by saying the first words, He always gives me the rest of the words of grace. He just fills my mind with scriptures, as the Bible says; the Holy Ghost will remind us of His Word. For it is written, “For it is not ye that speak but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you,” {Matthew 10 v 20}.
When the Apostles were delivered up to the authorities, the Spirit of the Lord told them not to meditate before hand on what they were to say, for the Word of God would be given to them as they spoke, it is written, “But when they deliver you up take no thought how or what ye shall speak, for it shall be given to you in that same hour what ye shall speak,” {Matthew 10 v 19}.

So it is with our witness for Christ, we must witness not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts. “Settle it therefore in your hearts not to meditate before what ye shall answer, for I will give you a mouth and a wisdom which your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay or resist,” {Luke 21 v 14:15}. So whatever you do either witnessing for Jesus or defending the truth always remember the Holy Ghost is within you and will flow out from you making you a great witness in these last days.

Roger, you are the only one who followed the instructions so far and has participated properly! Thanks for being a good sport. Hopefully Kurt will post on his blog instead of just in my comments.

Roger,

Thanks for playing! Someone had tagged me and I didn't know if I should do it, but then I thought, this would be interesting and fun and free advertising for some others. Do you know if you've gotten any hits from my blog from doing this?

Thanks for the reiteration from your previous post. The point I'm trying to make is can you give emperical evidence that Christ came to Earth other than what is stated in the bible?
